Type DD aluminum cam and groove fittings connect two male nipples (adapters). Also known as a cam and groove coupler x coupler, these fittings have a female camlock adapter on both ends. Type DD aluminum camlock fittings are used with hydraulic oil, coolants, and gasoline and petroleum products.

Nitrile (Buna-N or acrylonitrile-butadiene) cam and groove gaskets offer excellent resistance to oils and moderate resistance to aromatics and solvents. Nitrile gaskets are typically used in aerospace, petrochemical, and military and defense applications.

Type D aluminum cam and groove fittings include a female cam x female NPT connection. Type D camlock fittings are most often used with Type A adapters of the same size, and can also be used with Type E and F adapters, and Type DP dust plugs. Type D aluminum camlock couplings are used with milling and suction hoses to deliver water, slurry, and petroleum and fuels.

FEP (fluorinated ethylene propylene) cam and groove gaskets have similar chemical characteristics to PTFE including high electrical resistance and dielectric strength, but have increased strength and elasticity to create a superior seal. FEP gaskets resist chemicals and corrosion in industrial and marine applications.

EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) cam and groove gaskets provide excellent ozone resistance, good chemical and temperature resistance, but poor resistance to petroleum fluids. EPDM gaskets are used for outdoor applications including agriculture, construction, and food and dairy processing.
